It was announced earlier this week that a new mixed-use development offering office and retail space is coming to the Chapin area.

According to a news release, the 8.14-acre development proposed by Chapin Commercial Construction will be located at the intersection of Chapin Rd. and Primrose Lane.

Owned and developed by Chad and Caroline Lindler of Chapin Commercial Construction, the project known as Lake Murray Business Park will be a single-story development designed to accommodate a variety of business types from professional and medical offices to boutique retailers and restaurants.

“As lifelong residents of Chapin, we are deeply invested in our community and its continued success,” said Chad Lindler, president of Chapin Commercial Construction. “Our vision for Lake Murray Business Park is to build upon the momentum of the area, giving businesses a high-quality space to thrive while also providing area residents with convenient access to a variety of new goods and services.”

Located in Lexington County’s ID-zoned district, the development will offer ample surface parking and convenient access to Chapin’s expanding residential and commercial corridors.

Set to be delivered in the second or third quarter of 2025, Phase I of the project will feature four subdividable buildings ranging in size from approximately 3,000 to 5,000 sq. ft., and will provide flexible leasing opportunities for medical, office and retail tenants.

Phase II of the project will introduce additional flex, office, and retail space with build-to-suit options available on the remainder of the 8.14-acre parcel.
