March 18, 2024, (LEXINGTON, S.C.) – Chapin Commercial Construction, a family-owned-and-operated licensed general contracting company headquartered in Chapin, South Carolina, announces construction is underway on the new Heavy Iron Cranes headquarters at 4682 Augusta Road in Lexington, South Carolina.
The 20,000-square-foot facility, situated on a nearly eight-acre site, will combine Heavy Iron Cranes’ two offices and repair shop into a single location, which will feature modern interiors and adherence to the latest energy-efficient building systems and thermal envelope.
The shop boasts all necessary mechanical, electrical and plumbing needed to support the new state-of-the-art equipment fabrication and repair services as well as a bridge crane for handling heavy loads. Currently, the project is dried in, and interior finishes are well underway to include sheetrock, ceilings, painting, doors, frames and hardware as well as hard tile and custom trims and millwork. The project is scheduled for delivery in early spring 2024.
“We appreciate Heavy Iron Cranes’ trust in allowing us to provide the design, permit and construction services for their new location in an efficient and streamlined manner,” says Chad Lindler, president of Chapin Commercial Construction. “We look forward to helping them further expand their business in the national and international markets.”
As general contractor for the project, Chapin Commercial Construction’s design-build approach integrates architectural, structural and MEP systems design with general and trade contractor services, ensuring a seamless project journey from conception to completion.
“I could not have chosen a better general contractor to partner with on this build,” says Levy Brack, vice president of Heavy Iron Cranes. “One of the things that stands out in this process is the communication between Chapin Commercial Construction and all the sub-contractors. They were definitely well chosen and they all work extremely well together. Chad and his team of contractors have an exceptional work ethic, and they are doing an outstanding job.”
