Collo Rosso Dermatology coming to Chapin in 2027

CHAPIN, S.C. — July 28, 2026 — Chapin Commercial Construction is proud to announce construction is underway on the future home of Collo Rosso Dermatology, a new dermatology office founded by Dr. Lamar Hardy, a Chapin native who is returning home to serve the community where he was born and raised. The project broke ground in late May 2026, with the office scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027. Once complete, Collo Rosso Dermatology will bring high-quality dermatology care to Chapin and the surrounding Midlands area in a modern, thoughtfully designed medical office built to support patient comfort, efficient care, and long-term community need.

For Dr. Hardy, this project is more than the opening of a medical practice. It is a homecoming. Born and raised in Chapin, Dr. Hardy graduated from Chapin High School in 1997 before attending The Citadel and later serving nearly a decade as a Naval aviator. His path eventually led him to medicine, where he trained through Navy medicine and built a career focused on advanced dermatologic care. Now, his journey comes full circle as he returns to Chapin to serve the community that helped shape him. “Dr. Hardy isn’t moving to Chapin to open a practice — Lamar is coming home,” said Chad Lindler, owner of Chapin Commercial Construction. “This project represents exactly the kind of growth Chapin can be proud of: local people investing in their hometown, creating needed services, and building something that will serve this community for years to come. Collo Rosso Dermatology will bring an elevated level of dermatologic care to Chapin, combining advanced medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology services with a patient-centered experience in a thoughtfully designed setting. The practice will provide specialized care such as skin cancer treatment, Mohs micrographic surgery, cosmetic dermatology and in-house dermatopathology, giving patients access to comprehensive dermatologic care close to home. “Opening Collo Rosso Dermatology in Chapin is deeply personal for me,” said Dr. Lamar Hardy, founder of Collo Rosso Dermatology. “This is my hometown, and it matters to me that families here have access to advanced dermatologic care without having to leave the community. Our goal is to provide the kind of thoughtful, comprehensive care patients expect from a highly specialized practice, delivered in a setting that feels welcoming, personal and close to home.”

Chapin Commercial Construction is serving as the design-build contractor for the project, providing a turnkey construction experience from initial building design and plan development through construction management and completion.
